It was our second weekend in Aix, and again it was an excellent one! On Saturday, we traveled to Quison, a small village in Verdon surrounded by vineyards, hills, and rivers.
After visiting the Musée de la Préhistoire, we got ready to kayak on the river. Very refreshing water, a warm sun, and cheerfulness were the perfect combination for our promenade in les gorges du Verdon.
On Sunday, students got to sleep in! That afternoon, we went swimming and enjoyed the beautiful beach of La Ciotat. In the afternoon, we had a picnic under the fireworks set off for Bastille Day. 
Aix was very lively and had concerts on every street corner; we got to see a musical show on the top of Cour Mirabeau.
It was a great way to end the week, and we all look forward to the start of a new one! -Nina Lopez
