The Habsburgs of Vienna

Day 14 was all about the Habsburgs, the family that ruled the Holy Roman Empire and then the Austrian Empire for nearly 900 years…

We traveled first to their summer palace, Schonbrunn, which is Vienna’s answer to Versailles. Then, in the afternoon, we saw their city palace, the Hofburg, along with the famous Sisi Museum.

At 7pm, “Iron Chef Vienna” was on, and students presented two fabulous pastas, one world class Caesar salad, and bruschetta. All were absolutely delicious, and we cannot wait for the final competition!

After the meal, many students went across the street to the swimming pool, which is right on the river. We all returned to our hotel for the sauna and bed.
