Summer 2022 Updates

Mar 24, 2022

Dear parents and students,

We are happy to share some good news with all of you. It seems that after a long period of uncertainty there is a sense of optimism and renewed interest in overseas travel. We are glad to report that summer 2022 enrollment is on the rise and many programs are almost full. We are moving forward with our program planning in FranceSpainItaly, and we look forward to welcoming you aboard.

Together with all of you, we continue to monitor the recent events surrounding the war in Ukraine and we believe that these events are unlikely to change anything regarding travel and study abroad in Western Europe. We hope that the unfolding crisis will find its peaceful solution and the world will return to stability in the coming weeks.

We are receiving many questions from parents and students who are eager to plan their summer. For your information, here are some of the most common ones. Please contact us at any time with any additional questions or requests you may have.

Are you planning to run your 2022 summer programs? What if the pandemic and travel restrictions continue through the summer of 2022?

At present, we continue with our normal summer planning, and we expect to run the above-mentioned programs as usual. We do not expect our European destinations to be closed to American and international travelers. People around the world are moving on with their lives, getting vaccinated, and continuing to enjoy international travel. Vaccination cards and QR codes have become part of the new travel protocol.

If the pandemic continues and if I need to cancel for this summer will I be able to get a refund? Is there a deadline for canceling with a refund?

In case you would like to cancel your participation for any reason you can receive a full refund until March 1, 2022, and a partial refund until June 1, 2022 (the amount of the refund will depend on how late you withdraw from the program). After June 1, 2022, the fees are non-refundable. If a student tests positive for Covid and is not able to travel right before the departure date, the tuition payments will be transferred to next year as credit and can be used for any of our programs for the students or the student’s siblings. In the unlikely event that the pandemic continues through the summer and we have to cancel the program or postpone it to next summer, the students will have the option to either transfer to our domestic programs, receive credit for next summer, or a refund.

Will you follow any particular safety rules/protocols this summer?

We will abide by the CDC Travel Guidelines and Guidelines for Summer Programs. We will keep our families updated on a regular basis and work together to maintain the optimal safety protocol for our students and staff.

Will you require the staff and students to be fully vaccinated against Covid prior to travel?

Yes, we require all our students and staff members to be fully vaccinated against Covid prior to travel. Many European countries require the visitors to have proof of recent Covid vaccination or booster shot no earlier than 6-9 months prior to the planned arrival date. These conditions are subject to change so please be sure to check the official sources and review our periodic updates regarding these and other travel requirements.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: Please check the expiration date of your passport and file for renewal as soon as possible, if necessary. Remember that your passport has to be valid at least 6 months past your intended return date, so if you are planning to return to the U.S. in mid-August, your passport has to be valid through mid-February of next year. Processing times are now twice as long because of the unusual circumstances so please do not put this off any longer.

Please let us know if you have further questions for us and it will be our pleasure to assist you.
