Yesterday, we had a lovely time in Nice–doing pottery, enjoying some time in the temperate water, and having a picnic on the beach featuring original Southern French cuisine. We got to try socca ( a sort of chickpea crêpe), pissaladère (onion tart), and quiche. We finished with fondant au chocolat for dessert. After the meal, we headed to the Palais du Justice for an outdoor salsa class. I got to dance with the cutest little French man– it was absolutely hilarious. All in all, it was one of my favorite nights on this trip.
Today, we had another day of cooking at the Hotel Fregate, and I’m pleased to say our culinary skills have improved exponentially since our last attempt– thank God for that! —Nhyira
