We’ve had an interesting couple of days here in St-Laurent-du-Var.
Yesterday we went to a karaoke bar quite near to the beach and had a golden opportunity to wow the French locals with our spectacularly horrible voices– we did not disappoint. The good news is, we had a lot of fun, and we weren’t kicked out for our horrible display.
Today, we headed to Gorges du Verdon, which is about a three hour drive from St-Laurent. We canoed and paddle boated on the water, and I can honestly say it was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. The water was so blue, it was almost unbelievable, and the surrounding mountains were awe inspiring with their sheer size. After some excitement on the water (there was cliff diving involved), we got back into the bus and went to a quaint town not too far from the lake. It was so nice just to be able to hang out in such a beautiful place. Today was definitely one of my favorite days here.
