Estamos Aquí, Barcelona!

We arrived in Barcelona with a stop along the way in Zaragoza. Of course, I bought something to eat during our trip, but it didn’t last very long.

One of the first things we saw upon arriving in the city was the Centro. In the Centro, people come to ride bikes, roller-blade, or just sit and enjoy the view and the nice weather. It was a great place to people watch.

We also walked to the beach, and on the way saw a famous statue named La Carra de Barelona. The statue is a surrealist sculpture created by American Pop artist, Roy Lichtenstein, for the 1992 Summer Olympics held in Barcelona. In English the title of the sculpture is “The Head”. Made out of concrete and ceramic, it stands on the waterfront in the heart of the city.
