Busy Days and Nights in Florence

Digitial photography classCiao a tutti!

Abbey Road students started their classes this week: Italian language, visual arts, drawing, Tuscan cuisine, photography, and art history! Students were very excited about all their classes and activities.

After our morning classes on Tuesday, we had our afternoon activities: a visit to the leather school, where students could see how leather was made and decorated over 600 years ago! Another group preferred to cool down by going to the pool. Not to worry: we are going to have plenty more visits to the leather school!

What a way to learn about Florentine art and history!6_3_digital photography class_10_07_13 Today went by very fast: classes are so busy and full of new things to learn! Tonight we had one of our best activities; we went to the ceramics school. This place is located in the studio of Enzo, a local artist that teaches 6th century techniques of decorating ceramics. The class was amazing, and we all go the chance to decorate our own plates! I have the feeling that most of our students will bring back to you a handmade ceramic plate they decorated themselves! Tomorrow we have another day of classes and new emotions! For now, buona notte! -Anastasia Valecce
