Barcelona

On Saturday night, we arrived in Barcelona after an 8-hour bus ride.

We started classes the next day, and they’re pretty hard! We only speak in Spanish, but I know my Spanish will improve a lot after three weeks of these classes! Today, we had to use the phrases we learned in class to get directions to different landmarks in Barcelona. It was great to make use of my Spanish and explore the city in small groups.

Our residence is really nice, too. We have a kitchen, and my roommate and I have already stocked ours with our favorite snacks. Tonight we have our first cooking lesson, and I can’t wait to make authentic Spanish food! Then we are going to Las Ramblas, a street only for pedestrians with tons of great shops.

Our residence is very close to the beach too, and during my free time, my friends and I head over to the beautiful Barcelona coast.

Barcelona is beautiful… All the buildings and architecture are incredible. The next three weeks are going to be amazing.
