Our summer program in Edinburgh and its vicinity offers an affordable option and a perfect setting for those who are interested in studying Creative Writing, Business, Theater, English Literature and immersing in the culture and history of Scotland and the United Kingdom. Our students will go on breathtaking day trips, wander around the old town streets, get inspired by the medieval castle, reminiscent of the famous ‘Harry Potter’ novels, and make lifelong friends. They will take part in Edinburgh’s summer festival, taste traditional Scottish recipes and watch many street performances every day. The group will also discover Scottish history by visiting the Stirling Castle, where back in 16th century Mary Stuart was crowned Queen of Scots.
Optional Travel Extension
London
At the end of the program, the students will have the option of traveling to London, an internationally recognized capital of finance, politics, pop culture and art, a city with an incredibly rich historical heritage, first-class museums and galleries, and a bustling theater scene. We will visit some of the popular landmarks, such as Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London, Trafalgar Square and the Piccadilly Circus, gaze at the posh crowd in Carnaby street and discuss how London played a central role in the main political and cultural events that shaped the world.

In Edinburgh you will live in a modern student dormitory near the city center. Set against a solemn backdrop of rugged green mountains, Scotland’s capital breathes history, culture and style. The imposing fortress of Edinburgh Castle towers over the city and its many world-famous sites, such as the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Scott Monument, Royal Mile, St Giles’ Cathedral and many others. In addition to these, Camera Obscura and World of Illusions appeal to some of the younger visitors.
Our students and staff will enjoy group meals at carefully chosen authentic restaurants, as well as fresh food and groceries regularly delivered from local stores. During the occasional cuisine workshops and cooking nights the staff and students will cook together armed with local recipes and fresh ingredients from local markets.
Students will live in a comfortable dormitory near the old town. Each student will have a shared room with a shared bathroom next door to other students and staff.
By being a part of our Abbey Road family you will make new friends, learn to be independent and self-reliant, share responsibilities with your peers, manage your time, and get ready for college years!
