First Days in Cádiz

by Chris Bond – Cádiz Program Director I’ll write more soon, but I’ve got to run out for our evening activity at a Moroccan teahouse (also somewhat short this time because the last attempt ended up failing and everything written was lost!). And so, a quicker description than I’d like, but to give you all a brief idea of what we’ve all been up to these first days. The students have met their host families and are starting to settle in. We’ve toured Cadiz, visited the beach, enjoyed a group dinner and some free time around the city. Everyone seems to be loving the Spanish ice cream, the amazing weather, the beautiful beaches, and the local cafes. We’ve also learned to dance salsa, visited Tarifa, on the Strait of Gibraltar, for whale-watching, and toured Roman ruins in Bolonia (near Tarifa). Tomorrow classes begin, and the fun continues! More soon, as it happens.
