Whisks and Batter and Chocolate – Oh My!

The highlight of my week so far has been the day we headed to St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat for a day at the beach and a foray into the world of cooking.

We divided ourselves into three groups and cooked two dishes for each course. We had chicken, garlic shrimp, ratatouille, rice, bruschetta, salad, fondant au chocolat, and tarte tatin. By the time we were done, I thought I would burst!

 

In between cooking, a couple of us decided to explore the quaint town and get some Perriers at a cute little café that had a beautiful view of huge palms and an army of speedboats and yachts clustered at the dock. Everyone had a great time, especially since we were charged with the all-important job of food-testing.
