This Trip Keeps Getting Better and Better!

Friday night we had the option of going to either a jazz concert or an outdoor flea market/carnival, and I chose the latter. There were charming artisans selling their handmade goods and some carnival games, all with the beautiful background of the beach at night.

Saturday we visited Antibes where we went to an outdoor market, toured the Picasso museum, and participated in water activities at the beach (I opted for a relaxing boat ride). My favorite part was definitely the first; I simply cannot get enough of the outdoor markets. The food is absolutely delectable (the produce and baked goods alike), and I am determined to try everything before I leave. This time, I went for rose and lavender macarons… Oh my, they were fantastic! Lastly, the day ended with fireworks on the beach, to kick off a festive, fun Bastille Day.

Sunday was a leisurely, restful day. We slept in, went to the beach, ate some crepes (mhmmm), and, of course, laughed with friends. It was the perfect way to end a perfect week.

    Happy Bastille Day! -Emma
