Our Last Week In Florence

Unfortunately, my time in Florence is running out…

Today was my last day of fashion class, and I can’t believe that class is over and how much I learned in such a short amount of time! I learned how to draw the human body in detail, the way certain types of fabrics fall on the body, and how the light hits the body in certain areas. I also learned how to use a sewing machine and create shirts, pants, and even a bag! Overall, I can say with confidence that my skills in fashion drawing and fashion creation have definitely improved.

This week, everyone is trying to get all their last minute things done, such as getting gifts and souvenirs for themselves and loved ones. But my roommates and I are trying to eat at every restaurant that was recommended to us, so we can fully enjoy what Florence has to offer. So far, my favorite restaurant I have been to is called Zaza’s; it is located right behind the San Lorenzo market and conveniently only a seven-minute walk away from the residence. The food there is always so fresh, and they are known for their homemade pastas and for serving fish caught only hours before serving.

I do not want to leave this city… It is so beautiful, and there is so much to do here! On the other hand, I am so excited to go to Rome!
