Juillet 14!

by Grant T. Yesterday was Bastille Day, which is equivalent to our July 4th in the USA. Bastille day was awesome because we got to go to the Mediterranean for the night to enjoy fireworks, which made for a great night! We had the choice to either spend the evening with our host parents or to spend the evening with the whole group at the beach. My roommates and I chose to go with the group, which was a great choice! We had just over an hour to walk alongside the water and to enjoy the fireworks. I got some ice cream just before a couple of others and I decided to find a place to sit and enjoy the show. Also, there was live music being played the whole time which was very cool. The actual firework show only lasted for about 15-20 minutes, which was a little shorter than I had hoped, but it was still a spectacular show because we could see the reflection of them off of the sea! We didn’t get home until about 11:30 last night so we had plenty of time out with the group. Here are some pictures of the firework show last night: Grant T. firework 1   Grant T. firework 2
