Cooking at St. Jean Cap Ferrat

Abbey Road‘s program in St-Laurent-du-Var has provided us again with a beautiful excursion.

We spent the morning as we normally do, eating breakfast with our host families and then heading to class. These classes consist of outings into St-Laurent to speak with locals and exercises to practice our grammar, writing, and speech.

After our morning classes, we shared a picnic downtown and headed off to St. Jean! We took the train, and after a walk along the shore, we had arrived at the hotel where we cooked our own meal! We took shifts to avoid crowding the kitchen, and by the end of the afternoon, our dinner was complete! It consisted of shrimp, chicken, ratatouille, rice, corn, and, of course, dessert! As an entire group, we laughed, smiled, and bonded over an amazing homemade meal.

We returned to the train and finally our homestays to relax after a long and beautiful day.
